Konica Minolta Business Solutions India organized a 'customers meet' on 19 September at Mumbai'south Leela Hotel, to promote its latest AccurioLabel 230 digital characterization press. The upshot was attended by the company'due south present and well as potential customers. "The purpose of the event was to promote the second generation of the digital label printer from Konica Minolta. There are some changes in the press and from the previous generation. Information technology is much faster and, therefore, more than productive. Likewise, before nosotros could not support in terms of white but now nosotros take come up with an accompaniment where we can do a registration on white. If the white is pre-printed, we can overprint," said Manish Gupta, national marketing manager – Production Printing & Industrial Printing, Konica Minolta.

The printing, which was launched in early-September in India, adds to Konica Minolta's digital label portfolio. The AccurioLabel 230 roll-to-roll label printer is the successor solution to the AccurioLabel 190 – a successful product that has registered 400 global installations since its launch in 2022.

With a maximum print speed of 23.4 meters per minute, the AccurioLabel 230 is much faster and more than productive than AccurioLabel 190, which offers a speed of xiii.five meters per minute. The AccurioLabel 230 is capable of handling a wide range of print media – including non-tack/tack paper, tack coated paper G/Grand, synthetic paper, PP, and PET – and thicknesses upwardly to 256 gsm.

With the AccurioLabel 230, Konica Minolta is targeting those printers who have significant short-run and variable printing jobs. "Digital technology offers an advertising- vantage when it comes to short-run and variable printing. With this new press nosotros will focus on customers having numerous jobs with run lengths of less than 500 meters. Printers using conventional flexo engineering can use digital technology as complementary technology to service their short-run needs," Gupta said.

Konica Minolta has also tied up with Italian digital finishing equipment manu- facturer DPR. Gupta said that finishing solutions by DPR and post-printing en- hancement solutions from MGI volition create a full digital ecosystem for label printers.

To further promote the new AccurioLabel 230 digital characterization press, Konica Minol- ta plans to have such events in other cities in Bharat as well. "Yes, nosotros take planned to have more such 'customers meet'; in at least two or 3 more cities. But that would be afterwards Labelexpo Europe," Gupta ended.
